The Central University of Kashmir (formerly known as Central University of Jammu & Kashmir) was established in 2009 under the Central Universities Act, 2009. The University is operational from a transit campus at Sonwar, Srinagar. The University has successfuly launched Masters Degree Programmes in English, Information Technology & Management Studies from The academic session 2009. The University is offering three more Master\'s Degree Programmes and one integrated B.A,LLB Programme. The permanent campus site of the University approved and the land of more then 500, acres in the process of transfer to the University, the focus of attention in the years ahead would be planning and development of permanent campus of our University
